Are you still using Windows 7 OS? It is important to note that this operating system will reach its “end of life” come January 14th 2020.
What does this mean?
Very simply, Microsoft will no longer be offering security updates and support for Windows 7. This can result in a variety of problems, including unavailable security patches, increased vulnerability to hackers, slowed browsers, and program and application incompatibilities. If your PC, tablet or laptop develops a bug, Microsoft will not fix the issue. Internet Explorer is also included in this end-of-life plan, and with no support or protections provided from Microsoft, your data and IT systems will be left exposed.
OS 7’s end-of-life this January will signal open season for hackers. The cost of maintaining an old OS might be far greater than upgrading, and depending on the age of your hardware, the sooner the better.
This applies both to Windows 7 Home and Professional editions.
